Getting some hardware on these cabinets! Or the drawer pulls anyway. Still deciding on the doors. Really breaks up the expanse of white in there.

Kitchen Tiles

It's been a long process, getting this kitchen redone, but we're putting the finishing touches on now. The grouting is up on the wall tile and it looks so much better.

Birthday/Housewarming

We had a small gathering for the family here at the house as a sort of housewarming/birthday party. 

The dining room:

The beautiful art deco furniture is part of a 3-piece dining set. It has been in the family since the 1930s and goes perfectly in the dining room.

The floor was finished just in time!

The kitchen:

Almost done with the kitchen. All appliances are in and most cabinet doors are back on.

Just needs some cabinet handles and the back splash tiling finished.

Because we were starting with this:

And because it's the main entrance into the house, and because you want a kitchen pretty quickly...and because most other rooms need plaster work before we can do anything, the kitchen was the first order of business.

#1: That tile had to go!

Quite a bit of the plaster behind the tile was in bad shape so drywall was installed in those areas.

We found this old kitchen sink in the basement, from approximately 1940, and may have it refinished to use in the kitchen.
