This room (the master bedroom) has been a really drawn out process (remember the bees last year?), but I am happy to report that the woodwork is entirely painted, the floor is refinished, the ceiling is painted and now it is just awaiting a few coats of Exotic Eggplant (by Behr) and it will be ready to move into! Though there is a fair amount of electrical work to be done still. There is only 1 outlet in the entire room and it doesn't even work!

Puppy Update
The girls are growing like crazy...and tearing the top layer of paper off the drywall in the laundry room where they're corralled. Ahhh puppies. Meanwhile, they've got Jasmine feeling absolutely exhausted.

Backyard Plants
The garden is doing well in all this heat and rain. Flowers everywhere too! The yards still need landscaping work, but at least they're spacious and leafy green.

Upstairs Hallway
It's a dark, tiny little space, but now the floor has been sanded and is ready for a nice shiny finish! Still contemplating wall treatments for this small space. Maybe some vintage-inspired wall paper. And no, the floor sanding never ends around here!

Welcome Rose and Fern!
Joining the family this weekend are two sweet little 10 week old Sheltie mix puppies; sisters Rose (black) and Fern (brown). We'll just see how long those nice shiny floors last with these two running around! They'll be bunking in the unfinished laundry room for the time being. Hopefully the cats appreciate, or at least accommodate, the new additions. Remember, rescue when you can!

Master Bedroom Windows
We've been working on painting the master bedroom lately. The windows and woodwork were a complete mess with painting peeling off everywhere. The walls, woodwork and ceiling all have several coats of primer now and the woodwork has its first coat of paint. One more to go and we can start on the walls!
