Master Bedroom Floor

Sanded the floor of the master bedroom this weekend. Looks much better and didn't take nearly as much sanding as some of the other floors in the house. It will be stained dark to match all the other flooring. We also painted one wall to try out the color and think it's gonna be a keeper - Exotic Eggplant by Behr.

Primer Time

Got a coat of primer on the master bedroom this past weekend. Excited to finally get some paint on these walls!

Upstairs Bathroom

There is finally a toilet in the upstairs bathroom! Now it just needs a sink...and a floor...and a light.

One Year Later

It was one year ago on New Year's Eve that we went to look at this place for the first time. While it still has a long way to go, it's also come a long way. The downstairs is mostly done. A few floors need tiled, a few light fixtures changed out, that sort of thing. We've moved on to the upstairs now. The bathroom and master bedroom are the next targets.
Spent some time cleaning all the old wall paper off the walls and scrubbing them down. There are a few more cracks in the walls that need patched and then it's primer and paint time!

Entablature Started

We put up the back and bottom portion of the new entablature above the front door over the weekend. It will sit out on the columns on either side of the door and cover the big hole that is there now. Trying to get the rest of it up by the end of the week! Should make a huge difference in the front of the house and be close to what was original.

1st Christmas

The Christmas tree...all 10' of it. And the cats only knocked it over once.
